Frozen - Theatre Royal Haymarket

Oliver Luff worked with Patrick Molony, Production Manager, & Luke Halls, Video Designer, to help deliver a complete solution on budget & on time. Patrick Molony commented “Working in West End venues always presents difficulties for video equipment and finding sufficient space or weight loadings. Luke's design called for projection equipment to be rigged on the circle rail, however the Epson projectors supplied by UP fitted the bill perfectly, being relatively lightweight & compact”

A series of constantly moving floor & flown set pieces were projected onto and the video content followed the set pieces around during scene changes. Three Epson LB1755 projectors were used to cover the entire stage area with sufficient lumens & resolution.

All of this was driven by a Disguise 2x4 system programmed by Zakk Hein on a 17” Razer laptop & ETC Gio. UP also provided 10 gigabit networking, full IP KVM solutions & fibre infrastructure to ensure the production process was as efficient as possible.

Steve Seymour, Production Engineer, installed all the video equipment as well as ensuring all in-house staff were trained sufficiently to maintain projector line-ups and smooth show operation.
